The third rising of Bad Moon Rising "FREE"
The manager of the Bad Moon Rinsing, Warren Wyatte explained how he got to meet the band when he visited Korea last April.
"It was the late of 92 when I first met them, Kal Swan & Doug Aldrich. When I got back to LA from my vacation in Hawii, the Japanese publisher from the Virgin Copyright Company, Akimoshi called me and said as he had to leave the next day, he must see me right away 'coz it's very important.
As soon as I met them, I sensed that they're very nice guys. At that time, my compny was too busy dealing with other bands already in my company so that there seemed no room to accept another one. But I could see their future and made a deal with them."
By the time the BMR made a deal with Warren, this band was in a frustrating situation.
Kal and Doug have made up BMR successfully from the scattered band, LION. But the second album they released in '93 <Blood> was ignored by the music fans with the reason that the album didn't have a hook.
The terrible record of sales for the album created a crisis to think over about the BMR's existance. But BMR chose to fight back and try to survive. Warren was like their, so-called, last hope.
BMR started to look for a recording studio & proper producer with Warren.
Finally they decided to record thier new album at the Rumbo Studio in San Pernandes Valley, LA. The studio, owned by the star in 70's, Captain & Tennielle is the pretty famous place where some bands like Stone Temple Pilot had recorded their albums.
Here, BMR started to work on thier album from October '94. They had been recording for tow months there, and in January '95, they moved to Conway Studio and finished mixing. As the band wanted to very new creative producer, they chose Noel Golden who used to work with Mike Clink(Producer for GN'R's albums) as a engineer and showed his talent in the work for the albums of Slash's Sankepit & I Mother Earth's.

Introdustion for the tracks
* Crown of Roses
An opening track of a album is as important as the eldest son of a house-hold or the first runner for 400m reley race. BMR wants to show the changes with the first track. Especially the vocal part shows the biggest changes of BMR. As Kal said he used to listen to Alice In Chains, he seems to put some spice of AIC in a melody line.
* Monkey
This track sounds like <Full Moon Fever> from the first album, and also reminds of Aerosmith.
* Summer Rain
Just like safty gear of a pistol, this slow rock track releases all the tense of the album. The alterations of guitar playing covers an indolence which mid-speed songs are easy to creat. Kal's recomended track.
* Moonchild
When Kal recommends <Summer Rain> confidently, Doug does with this track. Full of blusy feeling in the song and full of dignity in the guitar melody.
* Believe
This track has not only BMR's typical sound which they've shown with the first and second album, but also intensive speed feelings. The genuine guitarist Doug counts this track as a plasurable track for BMR's die-hard fans AND thier new ones. It has 8 beats track which Doug often uses.
* Father Son
So sudden light guitar sounds are combined with Congo rhythm. This american style mid-tempo song reveals BMR's new talents.
* Godforshaken
Th guys explain with this track that crimes, terror which occur in big cities and various natural disasters such as the earthquake in LA or the poisoning Tokyo Subway, must be happened 'coz GOD abandoned those cities. I don't agree with them 100 %, but I admit that Kal's voice has more strength in this song.
* Into the Pit
This track has been created from the bassist, Ian Mayo's idea. And the guitar sounds remind of Hendrix
* Free
The aucustic starting part a little sounds like Led Zeppelin. In fact, so many people who've listened to this track pointed the fact and the members didn't deny it, too. Originally, it was a R&B typed song. But since Kal insisted to put more strings, conclusively it got to sound like a follower of Led Zeppelin.
